The couple filed a joint divorce petition on February 5th. While an initial hearing saw a delay due to a dispute over alimony payments – Chahal initially paid half of the agreed-upon sum – the Bombay High Court intervened on Wednesday, clarifying the payment schedule and urging the family court to expedite the process.
