**Hyderabad, March 20, 2025** – Telangana is expected to experience a significant weather shift, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing an orange alert for several districts on Friday, March 21. The alert warns of thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds, and hailstorms following a period of soaring temperatures.
The affected districts under the orange alert include Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, and Jayashankar Bhupalpally. A yellow alert has also been issued for Nirmal, Nizamabad, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy districts, anticipating thunderstorms and strong winds.
While the IMD forecasts a slight decrease in maximum temperatures over the next three days, Hyderabad residents can expect partly cloudy skies and hazy mornings for the next 48 hours. The city’s maximum and minimum temperatures are predicted to hover around 36°C and 21°C, respectively. The IMD advises residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
