**NEW YORK, NY –** Verizon announced today a major expansion of its satellite communication capabilities, becoming the first US carrier to offer nationwide satellite texting to its customers. Starting today and rolling out over the next two weeks, select Samsung Galaxy S25 and Google Pixel 9 Android users will be able to send and receive text messages via satellite when outside the range of traditional cellular networks.
