**Hyderabad, March 19, 2025** – The Telangana government announced significant investments in animal husbandry and fisheries sectors as part of its 2025-26 budget. A new ₹21.06 crore frozen semen bull station in Kansanpally will soon be operational, aiming to produce 10 lakh frozen semen doses annually to improve dairy cattle breeding.

Furthermore, ₹1,674 crore has been allocated to the Animal Husbandry department. This includes a ₹300 crore expansion and modernization of the Telangana Veterinary Vaccine Production Centre, relocating it from Shanti Nagar to Mamidipalli. The facility will also receive ₹100 crore worth of advanced machinery for vaccine research and development. The upgraded center will feature vaccine production plants, a quality control unit, and research facilities.

To boost fish exports, the government plans to build a ₹47 crore export-oriented wholesale fish market in Koheda. These investments signify a strong commitment to improving livestock health and expanding the state’s aquaculture industry.
