**Hyderabad, March 19, 2025** – Telangana Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka presented the state’s annual budget for 2025-26 in the state assembly today. This is his third budget presentation. The budget prioritizes public welfare and development, emphasizing transparency and accountability in governance.

Vikramarka stated that the government is following the principles of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in its governance, aiming to improve the living conditions of the people without viewing power as a status symbol. * **Allocation for welfare schemes:** The budget includes significant allocations for various welfare schemes. Specifically, ₹1,206 crore has been allocated for paddy bonus payments, and ₹12,511 crore for paddy procurement.
* **Education initiatives:** The government plans to fill 14,236 Anganwadi posts. A major investment of ₹11,600 crore is earmarked for the establishment of 58 Young India Integrated Residential Schools, aiming to provide quality education irrespective of caste or religion, with at least one such school in each constituency. A new snacks program for students will also be implemented. The government also highlighted its efforts to strengthen the education system and provide nutritious food to students. The establishment of a Young India Skill Varsity is also planned.
