**Tokyo, March 19, 2025** – Japan Airlines (JAL) announced a significant expansion of its fleet today, revealing plans to acquire a total of 68 new aircraft. The order includes 17 Boeing 737-8 aircraft, adding to the 21 already ordered in 2023 for domestic routes. These will replace older Boeing 737-800 models. Furthermore, JAL will introduce 11 Airbus A321neo aircraft to replace Boeing 767s on routes to and from Haneda Airport.
