Wed Mar 19 16:40:02 UTC 2025: ## Telangana High Court Quashes Case Against Chief Minister Reddy

**Hyderabad, March 19, 2025** – The Telangana High Court has dismissed a criminal case against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, filed in 2020 for allegedly flying a drone over the farmhouse of BRS working president and MLA K.T. Rama Rao. Justice K. Lakshman ruled that the location where the drone was flown was not a prohibited area under the Aircraft Act of 1935, rendering the charges inapplicable.

The case, filed by Narsingi police, accused Mr. Reddy (then Malkajgiri MP) of violating Mr. Rao’s privacy by using a drone to capture images and videos of the farmhouse. The police initially charged Mr. Reddy under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Aircraft Act.

However, Justice Lakshman found the investigation flawed, citing a lack of specific allegations in witness statements and criticizing the investigating officer for improperly adding sections to the initial report after filing. The judge noted that the application of Section 11A of the Aircraft Act, a key element of the prosecution’s case, was inappropriate given the circumstances. The court ultimately quashed the charges against the Chief Minister.
