**New Delhi, March 17, 2025** – National Security Advisor Ajit Doval held bilateral talks with US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Sunday, focusing on strengthening intelligence sharing and collaboration within the India-US strategic partnership. The meeting, described by sources as “a good discussion,” was followed by a conclave chaired by Doval, bringing together top global intelligence chiefs to address shared security challenges.
Gabbard, on a two-and-a-half-day trip to India – her first high-level visit since assuming her post – also met with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss matters of mutual interest. The closed-door conclave, which included the Canadian spy chief Daniel Rogers, reportedly focused on enhancing intelligence sharing to combat terrorism and transnational crime.
Gabbard’s visit is part of a multi-nation tour including Japan, Thailand, and France. She is scheduled to address the Raisina Dialogue on Tuesday. This marks her second foreign trip since taking office, following a recent visit to the Munich Security Conference. Last month, she met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Washington D.C. The discussions underscore the growing cooperation between India and the US on matters of national security.
