**Chennai, March 17, 2025** – Madras High Court Judge D. Bharatha Chakravarthy presented lifetime achievement awards to three prominent figures at the Rotary District 3233’s annual Navaratna conference on Sunday. The recipients were N. Ravi, Director of Kasturi and Sons (publishers of *The Hindu*); Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, former Chief Scientist of the World Health Organization; and V. Narayanan, Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
The awards recognized their significant contributions to journalism, global health, and space exploration, respectively. Mr. Ravi, accepting the award, highlighted *The Hindu*’s commitment to truth and accurate reporting in nation-building. Dr. Swaminathan spoke about the ongoing efforts of Rotary International to eradicate polio, despite challenges in some regions, and their COVID-19 relief work. Mr. Narayanan’s presentation on ISRO’s achievements, which received a standing ovation, traced India’s remarkable journey in space technology.
