**COIMBATORE, March 16, 2025** – VGM Hospital in Coimbatore inaugurated a new 150-bed multi-specialty block on Sunday, significantly expanding its medical services. The expansion, opened by Madras High Court Judge Justice P. Vadamalai, includes new capabilities in liver and kidney transplantation, cardiology (complete with a cath lab), a dedicated liver ICU, a dialysis center, and interventional radiology.

Hospital founder and chairman V.G. Mohan Prasad stated that this expansion builds upon the hospital’s initial gastro care focus established in 2009. The new block will allow VGM Hospital to serve a greater number of patients using the latest medical technologies.

Several dignitaries attended the inauguration, including senior government officials from the Archive and Historical Research, Human Resources Management, and Labour Welfare and Skill Development departments, as well as the Vice-Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University.
