Sun Mar 16 17:11:36 UTC 2025: **Global Intelligence Chiefs Convene in New Delhi Amidst Global Uncertainty**

NEW DELHI – National Security Advisor Ajit Doval hosted the fourth annual conference of global intelligence and security chiefs on Sunday, March 16, 2025, a day before the start of the Raisina Dialogue. Over 28 attendees from approximately 20 countries, including the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Russia, participated.

The meeting focused on key issues such as counterterrorism, Indo-Pacific cooperation, global security, intelligence-sharing mechanisms, immigration and extradition, and transnational crime. Intelligence sharing on transnational crimes and counterterrorism were highlighted as particularly important for India.

US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard attended the conference and met with Mr. Doval. Ms. Gabbard, who is also scheduled to speak at the Raisina Dialogue, recently posted about her Indo-Pacific trip on social media. All chiefs of the Five Eyes intelligence alliance (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, and the US) were present, though the occurrence of a separate Five Eyes meeting with Mr. Doval remains unconfirmed.

The conference, organized by India’s Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW) and the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), is modeled after similar events such as the Munich Security Conference and the Shangri-La Dialogue. This year’s meetings take place against a backdrop of global uncertainty stemming from US President Donald Trump’s policies. The presence of Canadian spy chief Daniel Rogers is particularly significant, coming as India seeks to mend its relationship with Canada following the Hardeep Singh Nijjar murder case.
