**Lucknow, March 12, 2025** – Uttar Pradesh is bracing for a change in weather conditions starting Monday, March 13th. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert predicting strong winds and rain across both eastern and western UP on Sunday, March 12th. Wind speeds are expected to reach 20-30 kilometers per hour. Both maximum and minimum temperatures are forecast to drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius.
The IMD anticipates clearer, drier conditions from March 17th onwards, with a continued dry spell expected through March 20th. While strong winds are anticipated during this period, no significant rainfall is predicted. However, there is a possibility of light showers in eastern UP on March 21st and 22nd.
Sunday’s rain and thunderstorms are most likely in the districts of Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Budaun, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Etah, and Agra.
