Sun Mar 16 05:08:45 UTC 2025: ## Nephew of 26/11 Mastermind Hafiz Saeed Killed in Pakistan
**ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN** – Faisal Nadeem, also known as Abu Qatal, the nephew of 26/11 Mumbai attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed, has been assassinated in a targeted shooting in Pakistan. Multiple news reports confirm the incident, which occurred on the Mangla bypass in Jhelum district, Punjab province.
Unidentified gunmen opened fire on Nadeem’s vehicle, resulting in his death. Nadeem was a key figure in Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), serving as a handler for the terrorists responsible for attacks in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, in 2023. These attacks, spanning two days, left seven dead and numerous others injured.
Indian authorities had already implicated Nadeem. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) named him, along with Sajid Jutt and Mohd Qasim, in a chargesheet last year, alleging they directed the Rajouri attacks from Pakistan. Nadeem, who was active in Kashmir as early as 2000, was also allegedly involved in numerous prior attacks before relocating to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, where he oversaw LeT’s terror launchpads and facilitated the infiltration of terrorists into Jammu and Kashmir. The circumstances surrounding his killing remain under investigation.
