**Alappuzha, March 15, 2025** – The Kerala State government has approved the construction of a new bridge connecting Nedumudi and Champakulam grama panchayats in Kuttanad, MLA Thomas K. Thomas announced. The ₹26.3 crore Kotharathodu bridge will be 265 meters long, featuring a 7.5-meter-wide carriageway and pedestrian walkways. The Public Works Department (Bridges Division) will oversee the project, with land acquisition and tendering processes currently underway.
