**Mumbai, March 16** – Veteran Bollywood actor Deb Mukherjee, father of filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, passed away this morning at the age of 83. The news prompted an outpouring of grief from the film industry, with close friends and colleagues rushing to offer their condolences.
Among those seen arriving at Mukerji’s residence were actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who cut short Alia’s 32nd birthday celebration in Alibaug to be with the family. The couple, along with their daughter Raha, were spotted returning to Mumbai via the jetty.
