**Mumbai, March 13, 2024** – Veteran actor Deb Mukherjee, father of filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, passed away this morning at the age of 83 due to age-related health complications. His death has prompted an outpouring of grief from the Bollywood community.
Mukherjee, a respected figure in the film industry and the Samarth-Mukherjee family, was known for his warm personality and frequent appearances at the Durga Puja celebrations hosted by his niece, Kajol, and niece-in-law, Rani Mukerji.
