**Perumbavoor, Kerala – March 14, 2025** – A 67-year-old man, identified as Johny, was allegedly beaten to death by his son in Chelamattam near Perumbavoor on Wednesday night. Police reports indicate the son was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

Johny, who was bedridden, was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. An autopsy conducted on Thursday revealed that the cause of death was lung injuries resulting from fractured ribs, consistent with blunt force trauma.
