**Kozhikode, Kerala – March 14, 2025** – A fire completely destroyed Lavanya Home Appliances in Balussery, Kozhikode, in the early hours of Friday morning. The incident occurred around 12:15 a.m., with the fire originating on the third floor before spreading to the lower levels. No injuries were reported as the shop was unoccupied at the time.
Fire crews from four stations worked for three hours to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and the extent of the damage is being assessed. The proximity of the store to the Chirakkalkavu Chamundeshwari Temple, which had just concluded its annual festival, narrowly averted a potential tragedy as the area was clear of devotees.
