Fri Mar 14 14:34:13 UTC 2025: ## Body of Missing Kashmiri Youth Found; Drowning Suspected
**Srinagar, March 14, 2025** – The body of one of three missing youths in Kulgam, south Kashmir, was recovered on Thursday, March 13th. Preliminary forensic examination suggests the 25-year-old Riyaz Ahmad Bajad may have drowned.
According to Dr. Azia Manzoor Bhat, Head of the Forensic Medicine Department in Anantnag, the body showed no signs of injury. While initial findings point towards ante-mortem drowning, Dr. Bhat stated that a final report will be issued after further laboratory and histopathology tests are completed.
Bajad’s body was recovered from Veshow Nallah in the Mah area. He had been missing since February 13th along with two other youths, Showkat Ahmad Bajard and Mir Ahmad Awan. Their families are urging authorities to intensify the search for the remaining missing individuals. A State Disaster Response Force team has been deployed to aid in the search operation. The Jammu and Kashmir Police are investigating the matter.
