**COIMBATORE, March 13, 2025** – A retired police officer who served as a personal security officer (PSO) to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was questioned on Thursday by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the 2017 Kodanad estate bungalow dacoity-cum-murder case.
Perumalsamy, a retired Additional Deputy Superintendent of Police from Erode, was questioned at the CB-CID office in Coimbatore for approximately three hours. He is the third of Jayalalithaa’s PSOs to be summoned and interrogated by the SIT in connection with the case. The SIT previously questioned two other PSOs, Raja and Veeraperumal. Further details regarding the questioning have not been released.
