HYDERABAD, INDIA – The upcoming Telugu film “Court – State vs a Nobody” is set to release tomorrow, February 14th. Director Ram Jagadeesh revealed in a press conference yesterday that the film, produced by Prasanthi Tipirneni under the WalPoster Cinema banner and presented by Nani, is a fictional story inspired by real-life incidents related to the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Jagadeesh explained that he extensively researched the POCSO Act, spending time in courts and police stations, and interacting with lawyers and police officers. He stated that the film aims to shed light on the often-ununderstood aspects of this crucial legislation. Priyadarshi plays the lead role, with Shivaji portraying a pivotal character described as a common archetype within families. The film also features young actors Roshan and Sreedevi.

The director expressed his joy at having Nani accept the film’s narrative, recounting a memorable meeting where Nani listened intently for two and a half hours before offering his enthusiastic support. Jagadeesh added that all the actors were cast through auditions and expressed confidence in the film’s technical aspects and its relevance to a wide audience. He believes the film presents a crucial truth that everyone should know.
