**Shivamogga, Karnataka, March 12, 2025** – A 52-year-old woman, Kenchamma, ended her life at her residence in Halliyuru, Hassan district, reportedly due to the stress of repaying loans. Kenchamma had borrowed money from a microfinance company and relatives to finance her children’s weddings. Her family stated she was deeply worried about her inability to repay the debt. Alur police have registered an unnatural death report following a complaint from her family. The deceased is survived by her husband and two children.
