Wed Mar 12 12:40:07 UTC 2025: ## Southern Railway Announces Special Jan Shatabdi Express Trains for Summer Rush
**TIRUCHI, March 12, 2025** – The Southern Railway will operate special Jan Shatabdi Express services between Tiruchi and Tambaram to accommodate increased passenger traffic during the upcoming summer season. The trains will run on twelve days in April: April 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27.
The Tiruchi-bound train (No. 06190) will depart Tiruchi Junction at 5:35 AM and arrive in Tambaram at 12:30 PM. The Tambaram-bound train (No. 06191) will leave Tambaram at 3:45 PM and reach Tiruchi Junction at 10:40 PM. Both trains will make stops at Thanjavur, Papanasam, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Sirkazhi, Chidambaram, Tiruppadirippuliyur, Panruti, Villupuram Junction, Tindivanam, Melmaruvathur, and Chengalpattu.
Each train will consist of two AC chair cars, ten chair cars, six second-class unreserved coaches, and two second-class brake van cum luggage vans (accessible to Divyangjan). The announcement was made via a press release from the Tiruchi Railway Division.
