**COIMBATORE, March 12, 2025** – Coimbatore is set to receive a new inclusive park designed specifically for disabled children. Funded by Robert Bosch through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and implemented by the Residents Awareness Association of Coimbatore (RAAC), the park is being built on a 1.25-acre plot of land in Kalapatti.
The park will feature 30 wheelchair-accessible play structures, tactile flooring for the visually impaired, and handrails along pathways. An activity center will offer art, craft, and music classes, and plans are underway to provide small-scale income generation opportunities for single parents of disabled children. Future phases will include an assistive technology library showcasing adaptive support products and a dedicated area for inclusive sports like half-court basketball and volleyball.
R. Raveendran, secretary of RAAC, stated that the park is designed for complete accessibility. Construction is expected to be completed within the next month.
