Wed Mar 12 14:42:20 UTC 2025: ## Mangaluru-Subrahmanya Road Train Services to Expand This Month

**Mangaluru, March 12, 2025** – Extended passenger train services between Mangaluru and Subrahmanya Road (SBHR) via Kabaka Puttur are set to begin this month, MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta announced. The Railway Ministry approved the extension on February 25th.

Chowta, who met with the Minister of State for Railways, V. Somanna, on Wednesday, expressed gratitude for the expansion. He extended an invitation to Somanna to officially launch the extended services later this month. The MP also thanked the Railway Board, Southern Railway, and South Western Railway for their cooperation.

The expansion will significantly alter the existing schedule. Currently, several trains operate between Mangaluru Central and Kabaka Puttur. The extension will see trains now running to SBHR, adding stops at Bajakare, Kodiambala, Yedamangala, Kaniyur, Narimogaru, Neralakatte, and Bantwal. Specific revised timings for all trains have been released by the Ministry and are available via the railway’s official channels. Southern and South Western Railway have been instructed to finalize the launch date promptly.
