**New Delhi, March 12, 2025** – Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with the European Union Ambassador to India, Hervé Delphin, in New Delhi today. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between Assam and the EU across various sectors.

Sarma expressed gratitude to the EU for its support of the recently concluded Advantage Assam Summit 2.0. Discussions centered on potential partnerships in clean energy, semiconductors, higher education, skill development, and the aromatics and fragrances industry.

A significant development emerged from the meeting: the EU is considering establishing a Programme Management Office in Guwahati. Sarma welcomed this proposal, pledging the full support of the Assam government in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs.
