Wed Mar 12 14:20:00 UTC 2025: **Seahawks Defensive Back Tre Brown Signs with 49ers**

SANTA CLARA, CA – The San Francisco 49ers have bolstered their secondary with the signing of former Seattle Seahawks defensive back Tre Brown, Brown’s agents announced today. The move marks a significant shift in the NFC West rivalry, as Brown, a 2021 fourth-round draft pick, spent his entire NFL career with the Seahawks.

In three seasons with Seattle, Brown appeared in 39 games, starting 13, and compiled 74 tackles, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), eight passes defensed, and two forced fumbles.

This signing comes as the 49ers reshape their secondary. While they’ve also added Jason Pinnock and Richie Grant this week, they’ve lost Charvarius Ward and Talanoa Hufanga. The team is still negotiating with several other defensive backs, including Isaac Yiadom, Rock Ya-Sin, Nick McCloud, and Tashaun Gipson, whose futures with the team remain uncertain.
