**NEW DELHI** – Yamaha Motor India has entered the hybrid motorcycle market with the launch of its first-ever hybrid model, the 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid. Priced at ₹1,44,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the single-variant bike boasts a 149cc air-cooled engine supporting E20 fuel and meeting OBD-2B emission norms. This engine produces 12.4PS and 13.3Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox and slipper clutch.

The key feature is its hybrid powertrain, incorporating a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) and Stop & Start System (SSS). These technologies aim to enhance fuel efficiency, reduce engine noise, and provide assisted acceleration. The SSS automatically shuts off the engine at idle and restarts it with a light clutch press.

The FZ-S Fi Hybrid features a telescopic front fork and monoshock rear suspension, along with 282mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes with single-channel ABS. Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tires, it offers a 790mm seat height and 165mm ground clearance. The 13-liter fuel tank and 138kg kerb weight round out the specifications.

Technological features include a 4.2-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity via the Y-Connect app, offering navigation, Google Maps integration, and call/SMS alerts. All-LED lighting, traction control, and a side-stand engine cut-off are also included.

Available in Cyan Metallic Grey and Racing Blue, the FZ-S Fi Hybrid maintains a design similar to the standard FZ-S Fi, offering a blend of performance and fuel-efficient hybrid technology to the Indian market.
