Tue Mar 11 01:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Taylor-Serrano Trilogy Set for Madison Square Garden
**New York, NY** – Undisputed super lightweight champion Katie Taylor will face Amanda Serrano for a third time in a highly anticipated trilogy fight on July 11th at Madison Square Garden. The event, streamed live on Netflix, will headline an all-women’s boxing card promoted by Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).
The first two encounters between Taylor and Serrano broke records, with their 2022 Madison Square Garden bout marking the first time women headlined a fight card at the venue. Taylor won by a close split decision. Their rematch, part of a Paul-Tyson undercard in November 2024, saw Taylor retain her titles via a controversial unanimous decision, attracting a record-breaking 74 million average viewers globally.
This third fight, however, will not feature the 12 three-minute rounds that Serrano had advocated for, to match the length of men’s championship fights. Despite a disagreement on the length of the bout, both fighters expressed their excitement for the trilogy. Taylor, currently ranked No. 2 pound-for-pound by ESPN, stated, “I’m 2-0 against Amanda, but it’s obviously a very special rivalry… I think it’s only right that we have the trilogy.” Serrano, ranked No. 3, commented, “I promised my fans they would see this trilogy… I know Friday, July 11, will be the greatest yet.”
MVP and Netflix highlighted the event’s significance in promoting women’s boxing. Jake Paul stated that the event is “a must-see trilogy between two of the greatest female athletes of all time,” while MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian emphasized the company’s commitment to “champion women as equals to men.” Madison Square Garden also expressed pride in hosting the first-ever all-female professional boxing card at the venue. The undercard for the event will be announced at a later date.
