**Vijayawada, March 11, 2025** – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reiterated the state government’s commitment to maintaining law and order, vowing zero tolerance for crimes, particularly those against women. Speaking in the state assembly on Tuesday, Naidu emphasized the importance of citizen safety and highlighted the government’s initiatives to ensure swift justice and enhanced security.

Naidu stated that the government is employing various measures, including drone patrols, to curb crime and ensure a safe environment for all citizens. He emphasized a new system designed to deliver punishments within two to three months for proven crimes. The Chief Minister also highlighted the “Shakti” app, a mobile application designed to enhance women’s safety and security. He recalled a past incident where swift action by his government led to the suicide of a rape accused, emphasizing the government’s resolve to punish perpetrators of crimes against women.

Addressing the murder of former MP YS Vivekananda Reddy, Naidu clarified that initial misunderstandings surrounding the incident were quickly rectified following a request for a post-mortem. He dismissed allegations linking him to the crime as baseless, contrasting the current government’s approach to law and order with the previous administration’s perceived failures. Naidu asserted that under the NDA government, law and order will be firmly maintained, and attacks on political party offices, unprecedented in his 45-year political career, will not be tolerated. He concluded by reaffirming his administration’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security for all citizens.
