**Milan, Italy** – Inter Milan escaped a major upset at the San Siro on Saturday, overcoming a spirited Monza side to secure a hard-fought 3-2 victory. The win extends Inter’s lead at the top of the Serie A table, but only after a dramatic second half comeback against the league’s bottom club.
Monza, celebrating Keita Baldé’s 30th birthday, stunned the home crowd with two first-half goals. Samuele Birindelli opened the scoring with a composed finish in the 32nd minute, capitalizing on a clever one-two. Baldé then added a stunning curler just before halftime, giving Monza a seemingly comfortable 2-0 lead.
