**Kozhikode, March 11, 2025** – The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM-Kozhikode) will host the inaugural Agent-Based Modeling (ABM) India workshop on March 20th and 21st. The two-day event, organized in collaboration with Amazon Web Services and scholarship partners TreeForest & Nucore, will offer participants hands-on training in building and deploying large-scale ABM simulations.
ABM is a powerful technique used to model complex systems like organizations, transportation networks, and financial markets. The workshop will cover building, calibrating, and deploying these models, which use artificial agents to mimic real-world actors.
The workshop is open to both industry professionals and academics proficient in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java. It will be led by Professor Robert Axtell of George Mason University, a renowned expert in large-scale ABM with experience applying the technique across diverse fields.
