**RALEIGH, NC** – The Carolina Hurricanes will welcome rookie forward Logan Stankoven to their lineup for Sunday’s game against the Winnipeg Jets at PNC Arena. Stankoven, acquired by the Hurricanes at the trade deadline, is expected to play alongside Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov on the top line and power-play unit.
While Stankoven’s debut is confirmed, the status of fellow deadline acquisition Mark Jankowski remains uncertain. Coach Rod Brind’Amour indicated that one of the team’s 13 forwards will be a healthy scratch.
On defense, the Hurricanes will be without Dmitry Orlov for a second consecutive game due to an upper-body injury. Scott Morrow, recalled from the AHL’s Chicago Wolves, will fill in. This will be Morrow’s third NHL game of the season.
Goaltender Frederik Andersen will start in net for Carolina after Pyotr Kochetkov’s performance against Boston. Andersen boasts a strong career record against the Jets.
The Hurricanes enter the game seeking their fourth consecutive victory. The game is scheduled for 5:00 PM ET.
