**SHIVAMOGGA, March 9, 2025** – A 40-year-old man, identified as Ravi, was found dead in Makavalli, Holenarasipur taluk on Saturday. Police believe Ravi took his own life after his wife, Lavanya, left him.

According to a complaint filed by Ravi’s mother, Dyavamma, the couple, married for 12 years and with one daughter, had been experiencing marital difficulties. Lavanya reportedly abandoned the family home and refused to return. Distraught over the separation, Ravi ended his life.

Dyavamma has named both Lavanya and another unnamed individual as responsible for her son’s death. Holenarasipur Rural Police have registered a case and are investigating.
