VIJAYAWADA, March 9, 2025 – The Andhra Pradesh Cooperative Central Banks Employees’ Association (APCCBEA) will celebrate its diamond jubilee on April 13th and 14th, marking 60 years of service to the state’s cooperative banking sector. CPI State secretary K. Ramakrishna unveiled the logo and poster for the celebrations on Sunday, praising the association’s role in strengthening rural agriculture and empowering farmers.
Ramakrishna highlighted the APCCBEA’s historical struggle against attempts to abolish primary cooperative societies and its advocacy for lower interest rates on agricultural loans. He credited the association’s efforts with the introduction of a single-window system for cooperative loans during N.T. Rama Rao’s tenure. He emphasized the crucial role of the cooperative sector, noting that 62% of Andhra Pradesh’s population depends on agriculture. The cooperative banks now boast turnovers in the thousands of crores.
Several APCCBEA officials, including general secretary K.V.S. Ravikumar and vice-chairmen CH. Madhava Rao, Veluguri Radhakrishnamurthy, and Y. Srinivas Rao, were present at the logo unveiling.
