Fri Mar 07 08:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Assassin’s Creed Shadows: 60fps Confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series X, PS5 Pro Gets Ray Tracing Boost
**San Francisco, CA –** Ubisoft has revealed further details about the performance of its upcoming title, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, confirming a 60fps mode for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The game, launching March 20th, will offer three graphics modes on these consoles:
* **Performance Mode (60fps):** Prioritizes frame rate, utilizing baked global illumination on all consoles and ray-traced global illumination on PS5 Pro. Resolution and graphical settings are adjusted accordingly.
* **Quality Mode (30fps):** Favors visual fidelity with higher resolution and enhanced features such as ray-traced global illumination (all consoles) and ray-traced reflections (PS5 Pro only). Improved draw distances, shadows, and hair quality are also included.
* **Balanced Mode (40fps):** A compromise between performance and quality, offering a 40fps target with a high refresh rate (120Hz) display. This mode uses the Quality Mode configuration but reduces resolution slightly.
Xbox Series S will target 30fps. The game’s customizable hideout will dynamically switch to ray-traced global illumination regardless of console, impacting frame rate based on system capabilities.
The PS5 Pro version receives significant enhancements across all three modes, most notably the addition of ray-traced reflections in Quality and Balanced modes, and ray-traced global illumination in Performance mode.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Ubisoft+ Premium, Amazon Luna, macOS (Apple silicon), and Windows PC (via Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store). Pre-orders include the Claws of Awaji expansion.
