Thu Mar 06 02:47:22 UTC 2025: ## Andhra Pradesh’s Twenty Points Program Head Accuses Previous Government of Financial Mismanagement

**Amaravati, March 6, 2025** – Lanka Dinakar, Chairperson of Andhra Pradesh’s Twenty Points Program Implementation, has leveled serious accusations of financial mismanagement and fund diversion against the previous Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy administration (2019-2024). Addressing a press conference today, Dinakar reacted to statements made by former Chief Minister and YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy regarding the recently presented 2025-26 state budget.

Dinakar claims that a review of Central Government-sponsored schemes across 15 districts revealed a pattern of either missing matching grants or outright fund diversion, leaving no discernible assets to show for the allocated funds. He stated, “There is no trace of where the money has been utilized.”

He further criticized Reddy’s statements on state debt, alleging that non-budgetary borrowings and pending dues total a staggering ₹10 lakh crore. Dinakar highlighted alleged irregularities in flagship schemes like MNREGA, Jal Jeevan Mission, and PMAY, noting that only ₹2,200 crore of the ₹26,000 crore allocated for water projects during the YSRCP’s tenure was actually utilized. He also accused the previous government of siphoning municipal and panchayat funds through the CFMS (Central Financial Management System) and neglecting capital expenditure in Amaravati. Dinakar dismissed Reddy’s claim of needing ₹1 lakh crore for Amaravati development as misleading, given the previous administration’s zero allocation for the city’s development.

Dinakar has called for a thorough investigation into the alleged financial irregularities and emphasized the need for accountability from the previous government.
