**London/Miami, March 2, 2024** – Burger King is celebrating its iconic Whopper with a two-pronged approach: a major upgrade to the classic burger in the UK and a new, guest-inspired creation in the US.
In the UK, the Whopper is getting its first significant overhaul in years, featuring juicier beef and a softer bun. To celebrate, Burger King is offering a free Whopper (or Plant-Based Whopper) on March 5th via their app at participating UK locations until 8 p.m., while supplies last. A similar offer is available through Uber Eats with a £20 minimum order.
Meanwhile, in the US, Burger King is launching the Steakhouse Bacon Whopper. Inspired by entries from last year’s Million Dollar Whopper Contest and ongoing social media feedback, this new burger features A.1. sauce, crispy onions, bacon, Swiss cheese, creamy peppercorn aioli, lettuce, and tomato. Christy Skylis, VP of Brand Marketing and Culinary at Burger King US&C, stated that the company is committed to incorporating customer suggestions into future menu items. The Steakhouse Bacon Whopper will be available starting March 6th.
