NELLORE, March 5, 2025 – Union Bank of India (UBI) disbursed nearly ₹100 crore in loans to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in SPSR Nellore district on Wednesday. The funds were distributed during a mega outreach camp attended by over 800 people. Approximately ₹50 crore of this total was disbursed directly to self-help group (SHG) members via check.
The event, held at PSR Convention in Nellore, featured UBI General Manager Talasila Kameswara Rao as a special guest. Rao highlighted the bank’s commitment to supporting MSMEs and emphasized the ease of accessing loans through digital lending platforms, including pre-approved loans via phone. UBI Nellore regional head A. Rajasekharam underscored the importance of MSMEs to the national economy and the bank’s role in their growth. The camp involved bank managers from 63 branches across the district, providing information on bank services and customer experiences to SHG members. MEPMA Project Director E. Radhamma and DRDA Project Director Nagaraja Kumari served as chief guests.
