**GREATER NOIDA, March 5, 2025** – A 31-year-old station master, Bharat Singh, died after his car fell into a 30-foot-deep drain in Greater Noida’s Sector P4 on Saturday, March 1st. Singh, a resident of Delhi, was en route to a wedding when the accident occurred.
Police received a report around 3:30 PM on Saturday. While locals speculated that incorrect navigation may have contributed to the accident, police stated they lacked confirmation as Singh’s phone was not recovered. The absence of warning signs at the end of the road leading to the drain was cited as a potential contributing factor by both witnesses and local residents.
Eyewitnesses reported that the car was speeding before it plunged into the drain. Despite attempts by locals and a delivery person to rescue Singh, he was found deceased inside the submerged vehicle, retrieved later with a crane.
