**Hyderabad, Telangana – March 5, 2025** – The Telangana Forest Department plans to transform 59 areas around Hyderabad into new urban parks, offering city residents more green spaces for relaxation. This initiative, revealed following a pre-budget meeting on Tuesday, March 4th, also includes proposals to develop parks near software industries, providing amenities like Wi-Fi and enhanced security for employees working remotely.
The meeting, chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Tourism and Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, urged officials to align budget proposals with the upcoming Telangana Tourism Policy. A focus on eco-tourism, medical tourism, temple tourism, and spiritual tourism development was emphasized. The ministers also indicated an openness to Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) for developing tourist spots, including a review of existing projects that are not generating sufficient revenue. The Tourism Department is tasked with identifying suitable locations for these PPP ventures.
