Wed Mar 05 12:01:27 UTC 2025: ## IndiGo and Cleartrip Under Fire After Passenger’s Flight Bookings Mysteriously Cancelled

**New Delhi, March 5, 2025** – A LinkedIn post detailing the alleged cancellation of flight tickets without notification has sparked outrage against IndiGo airlines and online travel agent Cleartrip. Raagini Gupta claims her three tickets for a Lucknow to New Delhi flight on February 28th were cancelled without her knowledge, leaving her and two others stranded at the airport.

Gupta, who booked through Cleartrip on February 4th, completed online check-in on the day of the flight. Upon arriving at the airport, she was informed her tickets had been cancelled, allegedly by herself. Both Cleartrip and IndiGo denied responsibility, claiming they had no record of the cancellation request. Gupta insists she received no email or phone call regarding the cancellation.

She alleges a similar incident affected another group of five passengers. While IndiGo offered seats on a later flight, Gupta opted for road travel. She believes her personal information was compromised, leading to the unauthorized cancellation, and intends to file a police report against both companies for identity theft, data breach, and fraud. She also plans to report the incident to the Cyber Crime department.

IndiGo responded to the allegations on LinkedIn, stating that a call was received requesting the cancellation after verification of details. They claimed attempts to contact Gupta were unsuccessful. Cleartrip apologized for the inconvenience but stated they couldn’t access the details without the trip ID.

The incident has fueled concerns about data security and the use of third-party booking platforms. Several LinkedIn users expressed similar concerns and shared their own negative experiences with airlines and online travel agencies. The case highlights the growing number of incidents where air passengers face unexpected disruptions and raises questions about accountability for data breaches and unauthorized booking modifications. NDTV does not vouch for the accuracy of the claims made in the LinkedIn post.
