**INDIANAPOLIS, IN** – The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced the five finalists for the 2025 Bob Cousy Award, given annually to the nation’s top college point guard. This year’s finalists, all of whom are also contenders for other national awards including the Wooden Award, represent a diverse range of top college basketball programs.

The finalists are:

* **Kyle Clayton Jr. (Florida):** Clayton Jr. is posting 16.9 points and 4.0 assists for a Florida team enjoying one of its best seasons in a decade.
* **Tyler Jones (Marquette):** Jones boasts career highs across the board, including 18.4 points and 6.2 assists, leading Marquette to a strong season.
* **Braden Smith (Purdue):** Smith excels with 16.0 points and a remarkable 8.7 assists per game, ranking among the national leaders in assists and steals.
* **Zakai Zeigler (Tennessee):** Zeigler leads the SEC in assists (7.2) and is a key contributor to Tennessee’s success, averaging 13.7 points.

Fans can vote for their favorite finalist starting March 7th. The Cousy and Hall of Fame Selection Committees will ultimately determine the winner in March, with the award presentation to follow. Two of the finalists, Quinerly and Smith, are repeat nominees for the prestigious award.
