**Patna, Bihar – March 5, 2025** – Dilip Jaiswal has been re-elected as the Bihar State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the party announced Tuesday. The announcement was made by Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who oversaw the state council meeting where Jaiswal’s election was confirmed. Jaiswal recently resigned as the state’s Revenue and Land Reforms Minister to comply with the party’s “one man, one post” policy.
The election, a routine process according to Khattar, was held at Bapu Sabhagar in Patna. Key BJP leaders, including state in-charge Vinod Tawde, co-in-charge Deepak Prakash, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha, and Union Ministers Giriraj Singh and Nityanand Rai, attended the meeting along with thousands of party workers. Jaiswal’s nomination was proposed by both Deputy Chief Ministers.
Khattar expressed confidence in Jaiswal’s ability to lead the party effectively in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. He used the occasion to criticize the Congress party, accusing it of prioritizing self-interest over service to the nation, contrasting it with the BJP’s commitment to public service. He also confidently predicted a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) victory under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
Jaiswal, in his acceptance speech, thanked party leaders and expressed his commitment to strengthening the party’s organizational structure at the booth level. He emphasized the BJP’s principles and its role in upholding the nation’s ideology and culture.
