**Lucknow, March 5, 2025** – The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has appointed Ramji Gautam and Randhir Beniwal as its new national coordinators. This follows a decision by Anand Kumar, Mayawati’s brother and former national vice-president, to relinquish the additional responsibility of national coordinator, a position he recently held.
Kumar, in a move lauded by BSP supremo Mayawati, cited the interests of the party in his decision to focus on a single role. Mayawati acknowledged his selfless service and welcomed his request. Beniwal will now share the national coordinator duties with Rajya Sabha MP Gautam, reporting directly to Mayawati.
This announcement comes a week after Mayawati removed Akash Anand, Kumar’s son, from the party, and reiterated that there would be no successor to her leadership while she remains alive. The BSP expressed confidence in the newly appointed coordinators, expecting dedicated and honest service.
