**Kurnool, March 5, 2025** – Actor and former chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Film, Television & Theatre Development Corporation, Posani Krishna Murali, was remanded to 14 days of judicial custody on Tuesday night. The Kurnool court’s decision follows a complaint filed in November 2024 by Jana Sena Party district president M. Renu Varma, alleging derogatory remarks made by Mr. Murali against Jana Sena Party chief and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan.

Mr. Murali, who was transferred from Guntur prison earlier in the day, appeared before the court late Tuesday night. He faces multiple complaints alleging similar remarks against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and others. This is not his first arrest related to these allegations; he was previously apprehended by police in Annamaiah and Narasaraopet districts.

**Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, March 5, 2025** – Actor and former chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Film, Television & Theatre Development Corporation, Posani Krishna Murali, was remanded to 14 days of judicial custody late Tuesday night. The Kurnool court’s decision follows a complaint filed in November 2024 by the Jana Sena Party’s district president, M. Renu Varma, alleging derogatory remarks against Jana Sena Party chief and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan.

Mr. Murali, who was transferred from Guntur prison via a prisoner transit warrant, appeared before the additional judicial first class magistrate court judge Aparna. The charges stem from multiple complaints alleging disparaging comments against both the Deputy Chief Minister and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. This is not Mr. Murali’s first arrest related to these allegations; he was previously detained by police in Annamaiah and Narasaraopet districts.
