Sun Mar 02 22:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Uttar Pradesh Braces for Windy Weather Next Week

**Varanasi, March 1, 2024** – Following fluctuating weather patterns in February and early March, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a new forecast for Uttar Pradesh. While the weather remains clear across all 75 districts of the state today and tomorrow (March 1st and 2nd), strong winds are expected from March 5th and 6th.

The IMD predicts that winds will reach speeds of 20-30 kilometers per hour across both eastern and western Uttar Pradesh. This change is attributed to a western disturbance expected to affect north and west India late Monday night, according to Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava, a meteorological scientist at BHU. The windy conditions are anticipated to last for two days.

The temperature is also expected to see a slight dip. Minimum temperatures could fall by a few degrees, with maximum temperatures potentially dropping by 2-3 degrees Celsius. This prediction follows a 1-2 degree Celsius drop in minimum temperatures across several UP cities over the past 24 hours.

The lowest temperature in UP on Sunday was recorded in Najibabad and Bulandshahr at 11.0 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature of 33.0 degrees Celsius was recorded in Prayagraj. The IMD advises residents to be prepared for the upcoming windy weather.
