**New Orleans, LA** – Mardi Gras weekend has arrived, bringing with it a flurry of parades across Southeast Louisiana. Dozens of krewes are participating, offering a vibrant spectacle of floats, costumes, and beads. To help revelers navigate the festivities, WDSU has updated its free Parade Tracker app, providing comprehensive scheduling and real-time updates.
The app boasts a simplified design, expanded parade schedules and maps, push notifications for parade movements, and the latest weather information. This year’s tracker covers over 70 parades across the region, including those outside the main Mardi Gras celebrations, such as St. Patrick’s Day parades. The app also tracks the front and back of parades for improved location accuracy.
Among the many parades rolling this weekend are: Hermes, d’Etat, and Morpheus in Uptown New Orleans; Krewe of Dionysus in Slidell; Aphrodite in Houma; NOMTOC on the Westbank; Iris, Krewe of Tucks, and Thoth in Uptown New Orleans; Krewe of Isis in Kenner; Endymion in Mid-City; Okeanos and Mid-City in Uptown New Orleans; Krewe of Athena in Metairie; and the highly anticipated Krewe of Bacchus in Uptown New Orleans. The Terreanians parade will also be rolling in Houma. A full schedule is available within the WDSU Parade Tracker app.
