Sun Mar 02 21:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Ariana Grande Earns SAG Award Nomination, Continues Awards Season Domination
**LOS ANGELES** – Ariana Grande’s magical year continues. The star of the blockbuster musical *Wicked* has been nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role at the 2025 SAG Awards. Grande, who plays Glinda, is competing against Monica Barbaro (*A Complete Unknown*), Jamie Lee Curtis (*The Last Showgirl*), Danielle Deadwyler (*The Piano Lesson*), and Zoe Saldaña (*Emilia Pérez*).
Grande’s stunning appearance on the SAG Awards red carpet mirrored the enchanting nature of her role. She donned a custom light pink Loewe gown featuring a feathered floral bodice and train, completing the look with a sleek ponytail and dazzling Jared Atelier jewelry.
*Wicked* itself received multiple nominations, including Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture. Co-stars Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey also received individual nominations.
This SAG nomination follows Grande’s previous nominations for the same category at three other award shows this season, though she’s yet to take home the prize. Saldaña won at the BAFTAs, Critics Choice Awards, and Golden Globes.
The accolades don’t stop there. Grande also received her first Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in *Wicked*, a nomination she shared on Instagram with tearful joy. She’ll be competing against fellow SAG nominees Barbaro and Saldaña, as well as Felicity Jones (*The Brutalist*) and Isabella Rossellini (*Conclave*). *Wicked* earned a total of 10 Oscar nominations.
Grande’s awards season has been marked not only by her impressive nominations but also by a series of stunning red-carpet appearances, each inspired by her character Glinda, often incorporating Glinda’s signature colors and themes.
The SAG Awards ceremony aired on Netflix, and Grande will continue her awards season journey at the Academy Awards on March 2nd. While celebrating her success, Grande also faced a playful jab from Chelsea Handler at the SAG Awards, referencing her relationship with *Wicked* co-star Ethan Slater.
