Sun Mar 02 15:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Air India Express Launches Direct Flights Between Kolkata and Hindon Airport
**NEW DELHI** – Air India Express inaugurated a direct flight service between Kolkata and Hindon Airport in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, aiming to provide passengers with improved connectivity and travel convenience. The new route will benefit travelers in western Uttar Pradesh, Ghaziabad, and the eastern and northern parts of Delhi-NCR, as Hindon Airport is located near Delhi.
The inaugural flight landed at Hindon Airport at 9:30 AM. Daily flights will operate from Kolkata to Hindon (departing Kolkata at 7:10 AM, arriving Hindon at 9:30 AM), while the return flights from Hindon to Kolkata will operate six days a week (excluding Saturdays), departing Hindon at 5:20 PM and arriving in Kolkata at 7:40 PM.
This launch brings Air India Express’s total weekly operations from Hindon Airport to 40 flights, connecting it to Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa, Jammu, and now Kolkata. Union Minister of Civil Aviation, K. Ram Mohan Naidu, officially inaugurated the service. Alok Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express, highlighted Hindon Airport’s growing importance as a hub for travelers in Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad, and western Uttar Pradesh.
